Now I have to post this...

After visiting Little Dirt Lane and Sew Pure I just could not wait any longer to post my new hair color surprise. If you take a peek at their blogs you will see what I mean. They are the first two blogs listed on my fav list on the right. You will get the most delightful smiles when visiting there I promise.

Like Jess, I have been a fan of wearing my bandannas in a vintage style for many years now but I never had the guts to dye my hair black to complete that vintage/rockabilly look. Whelp, a few days ago I went for it and I am loving it!

What ya think?

oh Ree, you are so adorable, you and Jess look like you could be sisters! Loved the red hair, but also love the black. it gives you more of an edge I think..like you should be dancing with Travolta in a vintage version of Pulp Fiction! xoxox Christel

OK, I am here to tell you I love it...the colour, your lips your whole look...gosh you make me smile...this suits you Ree, it really does...now my hair is very red, so I don't think I could get away with a dark colour...I am a redhead through and through...thanks for the smiles this morning...touchingly ms

Were we separated at birth? LOL - Oh I have found my twin - lol - Oh you look fantastic - Isn't black the greatest?? I miss my black hair...oh no Reezy Peezy...I think I want it back now! We can't tell Nama...she would kill me!! I now finally have my natural hair color, and I do love it - but the black, oh the black is so much fun!!! Well - this just suits us...we should make bandannas...I am tired of my 6 now...I need new ones. Do you know that I actually wore a blister on the top of my head from that knot that sits there...yep - I am dedicated - haha - Love your blog look, love the hair, the makeup and most of all YOU through and through...

A Tid Bit About Ree

Pull up a cozy chair, have a friendly cup of tea with me, and let me tell you a tid bit about Ree!

I was born 1973 in Philadelphia, PA., to two incredible parents whom blessed me with the most beautiful childhood a little girl could hope for. My father was a lifer in the Navy and just about the most amazing man you could ever meet. My mother is just as amazing and one of the most caring moms I could ask for. My Dad was such a creative man which is where I believe I inherited my artistic gift from and my Mom never passed up the chance to play dolls with me when I was a little girl which is where I believe my strong love for dolls comes from. Put those two together and here I am as Tipsy Teacup Creations.

As stated above, I truly do believe my heritage contributed a great bit to my creative skills and love of dolls, but I have to tell you a secret. I came across doll making accidentally. Yes, can you believe it, I said accidentally. Let me tell you the story, after my darling Siamese cat Mable decided to attack one of my childhood handmade dolls I frantically decided I had to figure out a way to fix her. I started to thoroughly look at her and examine how she was made. I had it in my head that I would not stop until she was back to her original glory and, you know what, I did it. I had her back to her precious self in no time. Needless to say, after that magical repair I was hooked on soft sculpture and the art of doll making. I have extensively studied the soft sculpture art form and have self taught myself since that fateful day in 2004. I even managed to make friends with a sewing machine or two. Over this past year I have taken several online doll classes which have been amazing. I will never stop learning or trying to improve my skills no matter how many years go by.

While I do so love all kinds of art and dolls the art of soft sculpture has quickly become my artistic outlet and sole creative passion. I am thrilled to be able to relive my childhood, as well and my little boy's childhoods, and share my works with you! You will notice that I have a huge range of interests which, without a doubt, shine through via my creations.

A very fun and interesting name is it not? And it just could not fit me better!

Truly, I am tipsy enough for two people! My hair color may change several times a year but under it all I am true natural sandy blond and loving it!

Next to that, life really does tend to throw major tips our way does it not, but somehow someway we manage to keep that pile of teacups stacked, amen to that!

Last but not least, I had a beautiful childhood full of smiles which contained many a beautiful tea party with my dollies inspired by none other then the Mad Hatter himself.

These memories are priceless and I love that I am able to let them live even more through my creations. So you see, it was the perfect choice!
